The 1KOMMA5° Heartbeat energy manager is connected to your router and thus to the internet via an Ethernet cable. It then networks and controls your PV system, battery storage, EV charger and heat pump via their local or cloud-based interfaces. The aim of controlling your devices is to increase your self-consumption and to shift your residual power consumption to the most cost-effective and ecologically optimal time for the grid.

After the successful installation of the hardware (PV system, battery storage, EV charger and/or heat pump), your Heartbeat will also be installed at your home by one of our 1KOMMA5° specialist partners.

1KOMMA5° Heartbeat updates its system software independently and maintenance is not necessary.

You can influence your energy management at any time according to your needs by setting the priority of the individual consumers or making individual comfort settings.

If 1KOMMA5° Heartbeat loses its connection due to an internet failure, your hardware will still be fully functional. Your Heartbeat will then reconnect to the Internet automatically.

If you got a new router, you should make sure that your Heartbeat is connected to the new router. To do this, simply unplug the LAN cable that was previously connected to your old router and plug it into the new router.

If an additional repeater or PowerLAN adapter is connected in between, you must renew this connection. First press the WPS button on the main router and then the same button on the repeater/PowerLAN device. Then you should give the devices some time to find each other again. If this does not happen after 5 minutes, go to the Heartbeat App and perform a scan of your devices under the 5th tab System.
